ST0P Yulin LYCHEE and DOG Meat Festival
Starting June 21st and running for 10 days. This festival of dog and cat meat is still being held.
Across China, there are many dog markets and slaughterhouses, but the annual dog meat “festival” in Yulin in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has come to symbolize the immense cruelty of the dog meat trade.
The “Yulin Lychee and Dog Meat Festival” was launched in 2010 by Yulin’s dog meat traders as a commercial enterprise to boost their flagging sales.
Previously, Yulin city had never known a dog meat festival and there was no established tradition of dog eating there; the traders tried to co-opt the idea of local tradition in order to legitimize the event. The festival takes place every year on June , and sees thousands of dogs—many, stolen pets still wearing their collars—killed for their meat.

Please donate to help them care for these dogs and get them into new homes, transition other farms away from this sad industry, and fight animal cruelty worldwide.
Over 180 years ago anti-slavery campaigners finally achieved what they had fought for over 60 years – abolishing a system of slavery in the British Empire. But the abolitionists, such as Thomas Clarkson knew the job of ending slavery was far from complete, which is why, a year after – in 1839 – they founded the British and Foreign Anti-Slavery Society, in the 1990s renamed as Anti-Slavery International, to continue disrupting slavery in all its forms.
Anti-slavery have achieved plenty throughout our history, from ending particular systems of slavery in Belgian Congo, Peru, and China, to playing a big part in passing all major anti-slavery conventions, to ending many forms of slavery in modern times, to outlawing the traditional form of sexual slavery in Niger.

Organisations are being added that bring aid to the world. They are all worthy causes. Sometimes they need volunteers rather than donations, online events can be organised and provide a fun source of funds plus they bring people together.
